Trust me, you don’t want to wish you had prepared yourself earlier when school resumes. Here are a couple ways you can prepare for the spring semester over winter break.

I'm spending the weekend jumping between sprucing up my resume for a few opportunities I've recently come across and preparing for the super fun task of doing taxes as a business owner (Note sarcasm.) #ilovemyCPA. Basically I'm knee deep in numbers--of both the expense/income variety and "how has it been more than 10 years since college?!?!" variety. Which got me thinking about how much I've grown/learned/changed since graduation. It's incredible really. So I wanted to offer up a little advice to those who've just graduated and might be feeling a bit lost. 1.) It's okay if you don't have it all figured out. Nobody has it all figured out. Even if you do reach a point where you're feeling pretty solid something in life will likely change or shift and you'll be reminded that you do not in fact have it all sorted. 2.) Be nimble. Because those changes? Those shifts? They're not going anywhere. Prepare to feel untethered as often as you feel as though you're on solid ground. Change is terrifying but by rolling with it you may find out just how great change can be. 3.) Find your people. You're not alone. I repeat: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Someone out there is also feeling confused scared unsure insecure unworthy unprepared and under qualified. Seek them out and lean on each other. Then seek out those who've been where you are now and ask them questions. Learn from them and let them learn from you. That's the beauty of this whole being alive thing: the learning the leaning the encouragement. So tell me friends: what's your best advice for those just dipping their toes into a post-college life? by jenniferesnyder
